Crosby says outcome of vacant council seat may become clear next week

The 17 councillors in Roscommon will pick the successful candidate on May 26th, after Waldron, from Ballintubber, died in February.

It's been confirmed four people have been nominated to replace Anthony Waldron on Roscommon County Council, after the deadline passed yesterday. They are Monksland's Ernie Draper, Balltintubber's Michael Holland Senior, Donamon's Mairead Kenny and Ballintubber's Gail Murray.

The 17 councillors in Roscommon will pick the successful candidate on May 26th, after Waldron, from Ballintubber, died in February. Independent councillor Tom Crosby says the outcome may become clear next week:
