A Roscommon councillor says one of his properties can be used free of charge to house a county museum.
Cllr Tom Crosby made the offer after calling on the local authority to develop the attraction in Strokestown.
The Independent councillor owns a property, called the Cornerstone, which is on Church Street and Elphin Street.
He told yesterday's meeting of Roscommon County Council the museum would cost around 5 million.
