The marketing manager of Ireland West Airport in Knock says the Covid crisis brought the airport back to 1995 passenger numbers last year.

Donal Healy was speaking today in light of the announcement of the Regional Airport programme fund of €21 million between now and 2025.

The Head of Marketing says that while that money will be welcome, the airport is also hoping to see more support schemes being put forward after the Department of Transport has finished talking to the European Commission.

Passenger numbers at Knock fells by 82% last year, and Donal Healy says while the situation is very serious they're confident that they can rebound as the year goes on…
