Covid committee suggests public inquiry into circumstances of every Covid death in nursing homes

A public inquiry into the circumstances of every death from Covid-19 in nursing homes should be established.

That's the key recommendation from the Covid Committee which says the state failed to recognise the level of risk posed to those in care facilities.

56 per cent of the deaths as of a result of Covid-19 in Ireland occurred in nursing homes.
