A County Roscommon business was issued with a partial closure order by the Food Safety Authority last month. Frenchpark Service Station on the Dublin Road, Frenchpark was one of eight premises issued with a closure order. Ms Bernadette Clarke on behalf of Frenchpark Service Station Ltd was issued with the order on the fourth of June. The order pertained to a rear storeroom on the premises which is used to store foodstuffs.
Inspectors said the room did not allow for adequate maintenance, cleaning and disinfection due to unsuitable wall, floor and roof surfaces. The report stated they were not smooth, durable or easily cleanable. Inspectors also said the store room didn't permit good food hygiene practices, including protection against contamination and pest control. Gaps were also evident in the wall and roof junctions and around the metal door the external yard area.]
