New plans for a major energy plant in Ballaghaderreen will be strongly opposed, according to a local councillor. Grid System Services has applied for planning permission for a battery energy storage system in Ballyoughter.
It would have 44 battery blocks - similar to a previous application that was refused. Local councillor Micheál Frain says he's against the new plan:
