A local MEP says a controversial trade deal between the EU and four South American countries could be finalised next week.
The Mercusor agreement would see beef enter the EU at a much reduced tariff rate, in a blow to Irish farmers.
Ciaran Mullooly is one of 145 MEPs trying to stop the deal through legal action.
