Concern in south Roscommon as more flooding feared tonight

Residents in south Roscommon are concerned about the impact potential flooding could have on the area overnight.

A status yellow rain warning starts at 10pm tonight and runs until 4am tomorrow, and affects Longford, Roscommon and Westmeath.

There are fears it could worsen the ongoing crisis around Lough Funshinagh in south Roscommon.

Independent councillor Laurence Fallon, from Rahara, says the latest warning is worrying.
