A special memorial run will take place in Charlestown tomorrow in honour of the late Detective Garda Colm Horkan.
The Mayo man was shot dead by Stephen Silver in Castlerea in June 2020, with Silver found guilty of capital murder earlier this year.
The event was set up to honour the Charlestown native three years ago and is organised by East Mayo Athletics Club together with Charlestown Sarsfields GAA.

The run will feature a 5k, 10k and half marathon and will begin from the GAA club in the town starting at 9am.
