Section 39 workers are doing incredible work around the country and must be supported, according to the Chief Executive of a well known Longford disability Service.
St Christopher's Service in Longford is celebrating 60 years serving the people of the Shannonside Region.
The much loved service has its main campus in Longford Town with a number of homes, centres and services in the surrounding county.
Section 39 Staff in the service took industrial action last year seeking pay parity with HSE staff.
Following talks between unions, management and HSE, the staff accepted an agreement late last year.
St Christopher's Chief Executive Declan Kenny, who took up the role over 6 months ago, says that it was unfair what Section 39 workers went through with their pay.
