He joined the local authority in 2016 from Mayo County Council.

Paddy Mahon has officially retired after ten years as Chief Executive of Longford County Council.

The Tuam native was honoured at a ceremony in Council offices this afternoon.

He joined the local authority in 2016 from Mayo County Council.

Speaking on Let's Talk earlier today, he said housing remained one of the council's biggest challenges.
