County Leitrim was among the cheapest when it came to the price of heating oil in 2025.
Figures published by the Heating Oil Report show that heating oil prices continue to ease across the country after the sharp rises seen in recent years.
Leitrim is second nationally with it comes to oil prices.
The cost for 1000 litres of oil was an average of €927.64 in the county in 2025.
Prices in Longford were marginally higher at €933.14 for 1000 litres.
While the average in Roscommon stood at €939.07.
Louth saw the cheapest oil prices in 2025 for 1000 litres.
The county paying the highest average price for 1000 litres was Kerry, with Limerick and Cork close behind.
