Centenary of murder of Dr Patrick Muldoon to be marked this evening

The local GP was shot dead on the street as he returned with a friend from playing cards on the evening of Sunday the 18th of March 1923.

To mark the centenary the battalion will conduct a formal parade in Custume Barracks, Athlone on 24th January at 11:30am.
