Carrick bypass could force business to close

A longstanding business could be forced to close if the planned route for the Carrick-on-Shannon bypass goes ahead.

A new 5.8km road is planned from the Dublin Road to the Boyle Road, and the proposals went on public display last week.

It goes straight through the middle of a quad-biking track and farm at Springfield, between Carrick and Boyle.

Owner John Molloy says Carrick Quads could be shut down if this route proceeds.
