There are calls for a wind turbine to be built at Roscommon Leisure Centre to stop it losing hundreds of thousands of euro. It needs a big subvention every year to keep it open.
At their budget meeting tomorrow, Roscommon County Council will allocate it €297,000 for next year. Independent councillor Tom Crosby says the big losses at the swimming pool and gym are worrying:
