There are calls for the Route 22 bus service which serves towns and villages across the region to remain in place in it's current form. A section of the new N5 Ballaghaderren to Scramogue road opened last week which now see's Frenchpark bypassed.
Bus Eireann say that the bus stops in Frenchpark are being relocated to the opposite side of the junction as a result of the new road. Cllr Micheal Frain says any changes to the route need to be communicated to the public:
