A Leitrim councillor is calling on the local authority to identify potential community hubs ahead of future storms.
Cllr Gary Prior says some households were left without power for up to five days following Storm Amy earlier this month.
He says there's an urgent need for accessible and well-equipped hubs to assist residents during prolonged outages.
Leitrim County Council had previously confirmed funding for three additional mobile generators for use during storms.
