A boil water notice affecting 350 households in East Galway has been lifted.
The alert was put in place in Eyrecourt on February 28th last due to the detection of low levels of chlorine in the supply.
Old cast iron pipes were replaced on Main Street and Chapel Lane in recent months.

Following consultation with the HSE, Irish Water and Galway County Council the notice has been lifted with immediate effect and the water is safe to drink.
