The village of Ballintubber in County Roscommon will play host to a special pre-Christmas ALONE event this afternoon.
The event will begin with a ecumenical prayer service at St Bride's Church at 2pm and will be followed by an event in Garvey's pub.
ALONE recruitment officer Karen Byrne will address those present about the charity which works with older people.
