Community groups who worked with the late Roscommon councillor Anthony Waldron have been invited to take part in Ballintubber's St Patrick's Day Parade.

Organisers of the parade say there will be a special tribute to Cllr Waldron at this year's event.

The Ballintubber man passed away at his home last month at the age of 64.

Chairperson of the parade committee Eileen Kenny has extended an invitation to those groups to take part in this year's parade on St Patrick's Day in memory of the late councillor.

This year's Ballintubber parade commences at 3 o'clock from St Bride's Church car park.
