Ballaghaderreen Concerned Citizens will hold another public meeting in the town this evening. The meeting will take place in Spells Bar at 8 pm under the title 'Growing to a Happier, Healthier Ballaghaderreen'. It comes following recent confirmation from the Department of Integration that 47 modular units proposed for a site in the town would not go ahead.
That news was welcomed by a spokesperson for the Concerned Citizens group, who said they would however maintain a watching brief for future Departmental plans. The group has invited all members of the public to tonight's meeting which they say will address a number of ongoing issues in the town.
