Athlone Squash Club has been given the green light to build a new facility in the town.
A planning application submitted by the club in April sought the construction of the new grounds on the Ballymahon Road in Cloghanboy, Athlone.
The newly approved facility will include three indoor squash courts, changing facilities and equipment storage areas.

The application also features an outdoor padel court, the provision of toilets as well as changing facilities for people with disabilities.
Westmeath planners gave the go ahead with 5 conditions attached, including the inclusion of a detailed Construction & Environmental Management Plan.
