Ray Conlon, who recently got the all clear after being treated for bowel cancer, has launched a fundraiser for cancer research.

An Athlone cancer survivor is urging people who feel any strange symptoms, or anything out of the ordinary, to get checked. Ray Conlon, who recently got the all clear after being treated for bowel cancer, has launched a fundraiser for cancer research. The Westmeath man, who's a part-time soccer referee, says his campaign is called "Give Cancer The Red Card."

He's asking for donations through Just Giving, as he gets ready to run the Limerick marathon this May Bank Holiday weekend. Ray also has this message for anyone going through cancer:
