A community appeal has been launched by the Leitrim Animal Welfare Centre in relation to local cats suffering from poisoning. On Monday, the centre received reports of three local cats showing signs of poisoning in Liscara, Carrick-On-Shannon.
They are appealing for anyone who notices any suspicious activity or information regarding the source of this poison, to come forward. The centre have also pleaded for pet owners to spay and neuter their pets in order to break the cycle of infection and illness.
