We're in for another day of scorching temperatures.
A new record was set yesterday for the month of May when a new high of 30.5 degrees was broken at Shannon Airport.
Met Eireann say maximum highs of 31C can be expected again today, with status yellow alerts for high temperatures in place for eight counties (Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, Kilkenny, Laois and Offaly) until 6pm this evening.
Andrew Doran Sherlock from Met Eireann says we could also be facing some very severe thunderstorms.
