Almost 50 waiting at local hospitals

There were almost 50 patients waiting for a bed at local hospitals this morning.

39 were waiting at Sligo University Hospital and 3 and 7 respectively in the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar and Portiuncula.

University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of those, with 99, followed by Letterkenny University Hospital with 38.

Of the total number of people waiting for beds, 302 are in emergency departments while 144 are in wards elsewhere, according to the INMO.
