There were almost 2,700 assaults on HSE staff in the Shannonside and surrounding region last year.
According to freedom of information files, it's a slight increase on 2024.
In total, there were 6,090 assaults on HSE staff in 2025 - a slight increase from 6,064 the previous year.
Of last year's figures, 4,369 were physical assaults, 75 were sexual attacks, and 1,646 were verbal.
A breakdown by location shows there were 1,721 assaults of all types in the HSE West and North West Region last year.
This includes Roscommon, Leitrim, Galway, Donegal, Sligo and west Cavan.
There were 934 attacks in the HSE Dublin and Midlands Region, which includes Longford.
The HSE says it does not tolerate verbal or physical aggression in any form by staff, service-users or the public.
