Roscommon/Longford Roads policing unit are urging motorists to exercise caution as the country approaches its first weekend under lighter Covid-19 travel restrictions.
The call follows the unit stopping a motorist in the Athleague area yesterday who subsequently had his vehicle seized over a number of violations.
Using the Gardaí mobility app, the driver was found to be driving without a license or insurance.

The vehicle was seized from the driver and court proceedings are set to follow.
