70 patients stranded on trolleys in local hospitals

Hospitals are continuing to experience overcrowding across the country this morning.

The number of admitted patients from the Shannonside region waiting on a hospital bed is once again up with Sligo Univeristy Hospital currently having 38 patients on trolleys.

Portiuncula's numbers are also up with 32 patients waiting on a bed, 5 of which are in the emergency department.

There's only 7 patients on trolleys in the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
