600 vulnerable people in the region still waiting to have homes retro-fitted

Almost 600 vulnerable people in the Shannonside region are waiting for their homes to be retro-fitted by the state. The Warmer Homes Scheme allows people in energy poverty to get their homes fully retro-fitted.

Environment Minister Darragh O'Brien says 118 homes in Leitrim, 143 in Longford and 332 in Roscommon are waiting for this work to be done. Local Fine Gael senator Gareth Scahill told the Seanad many people face long waits:
