58 admitted patients stranded on trolleys in Sligo hospital

There were almost 70 admitted patients waiting for a bed at local hospitals this morning.

That's according to the INMO's latest trolley watch report.

Wednesday's figures show there were 58 patients waiting in Sligo University Hospital.

This included 40 in the emergency department and 18 on wards elsewhere.

While there were 8 patients waiting in the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
