450 Shannonside customers still without power - a week after Storm Darragh
The ESB doesn't expect this fault to be repaired until late tomorrow night

The ESB doesn't expect some of the remaining faults in the Shannonside region to be repaired until tomorrow night.

A total of 450 homes and businesses in the Shannonside region remain without electricity this morning - almost a week after Storm Darragh.

It includes 282 in Co Roscommon and 168 in Co Leitrim, but everyone in Longford has their power restored.

The ESB doesn't expect some of the remaining faults in the Shannonside region to be repaired until tomorrow night.

Co Roscommon

There are 282 people without power in the county: Loughglynn - 132; Boyle - 93; Ballyfarnon - 18; Drumboylan - 40

Councillor Sean Moylan is confident the end is in sight for the power outages in north Roscommon.

Co Leitrim

There are over 168 people without power in the county: Aughavas - 11; Drumshanbo - 21; Aughnasheelin - 34; Ballinamore - 74; Drumkeeran - 28

Fabienne Knaff is one of the 28 customers in Drumkeeran affected.

She feels very sorry for some of her vulnerable neighbours.
