25 waiting for a bed at local hospitals

25 admitted patients were on trolleys in local hospitals this morning.

There were 23 waiting at Sligo University Hospital and 1 each in the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar and Portlaoise.

Nationally, University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of those, with 107, followed by University Hospital Galway with 59, and Cork University Hospital with 20

Of the total number of people waiting for beds, 240 are in emergency departments while 132 are in wards, according to the INMO.
