Almost 20,000 people were admitted to two local hospitals on trolleys this year.
That includes over 11,600 in University Hospital Galway, and over 8,000 in Sligo University Hospital.
The figure was 4,340 in Castlebar hospital, 1,360 in Mullingar, 1,157 in Portiuncula in Ballinasloe - but only 73 in Tullamore.
Over 114,000 patients, including more than 1,200 kids, were admitted to hospital without a bed around the country this year.
