Almost 20,000 people in the Shannonside region are on the state’s auto-enrolment pension, which started last month.
People are enrolled if they don’t already have a pension and meet the earnings threshold.
Employers match workers’ contributions – which will then be topped up by the state by the third.
There are over 4,100 people enrolled in Leitrim, more than 7,000 in Longford, and over 8,700 in Roscommon.
