When Sidra Anjum moved from Pakistan to Ireland in 2016, she brought with her a suitcase full of degrees — and dreams. But building a new life and starting a family in unfamiliar surroundings wasn’t easy. In this episode, Sidra shares how she navigated the challenges of migration, motherhood, and identity — and how the support of a Family Resource Centre and a welcoming community in Longford helped her thrive. From praying for rain in her dry homeland to embracing Ireland’s endless downpours, her story is one of strength, adaptation, and purpose. Now a Diversity & Inclusion Mentor and advocate for migrant women, Sidra’s voice is one that inspires and uplifts.
