Bulgarian Tinko Tinev discovers his identity and faith as he journeys from his communist home country to Cavan Town.
Tinko Tinev moved from Bulgaria to Ireland in 2015 to let his children learn English and to pursue his entrepreneurial interests. With a grandfather who received a death sentence from the Bulgarian King for being communist, Tinko’s life gets more interesting when his diplomat parents brought him to war-stricken Iraq and Ethiopia, making him evacuate to Bulgaria where he finished as a sergeant in the army. Challenged by war, communism and atheism, Tinko developed a keen interest in his own faith and joined the Unification Church, married his Czech wife in a Korean mass wedding, and now enjoys volunteering, videography/photography, and working in healthcare and hospitality in Cavan Town.
