Longford Park run will celebrate it's 9th birthday this weekend with a special event.
The popular morning event was set up by local teacher Kevin Kane in 2016 and operates in the Albert Reynolds Peace Park every saturday morning from 9.30.
The 5km route caters for runners and walkers of all abilities and has welcomed thousands of visitors from across the country and the world over its 9 years.

Park runs take place weekly across the Shannonside Region and are designed to foster a sense of community and encourage participation in physical activity.
Daniel Considine has been speaking to Kevin Kane in his Classroom in Scoil Eimear in Longford and was also at the most recent run in the Mall last weekend, he's sent us this report
