The Co. Longford Enterprise awards took place earlier this week. The event which was held in PV's bar and restaurant in Longford Town, showcased some of the most progressive businesses in the county. There were six businesses recognised at the event with Willie Monaghan and Sons Limited taking home the overall award.
The business based near Granard is one of Ireland's leading names in truck body building and steel fabrication. Darragh O'Connor spoke to Willie and Damien Monaghan following the awards ceremony:

Katie McCabe from Aughnacliffe won Best Young Start Up for her business specialising in retro sportswear and reworked branded clothing. Katie says she wants to pursue a career in business now:
