LISTEN: "Livid" Boxer says Ross motoring proposals dead in water

Longford Westmeath TD and Minister of State for the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief Kevin Boxer Moran says the Transport Minister's proposals for increasing penalties for motorists caught speeding or who are unable to produce their driving licences are "gone" and are a step too far for under-pressure motorists.

Speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show on Shannonside Northern Sound, the Athlone native says the proposals are ridiculous after all of the red tape the government has introduced in recent years, especially in relation to motoring and admitted he was livid that he had to make those points on the airwaves rather than seeing Shane Ross in person beforehand instead.
