Inspiring young Filipina Dr. Liza Selene Patindol from Cebu, Philippines explains how her Catholic faith keeps her going in Cavan.
Despite her busy schedule at Cavan General Hospital since 2021, the Cathedral in Cavan town is what makes Dr. Liza Selene Patindol feel at home. Having organised the biggest annual Philippine celebration of the Feast of Santo Nino (Child of Prague) for over 10 years in Dublin, she believes migrants, especially second generation Filipinos should never forget their roots. She moved to Ireland in 2004 with her mother and brother to join her father who is a nurse.
