William (Billy) Mahon passed away on Saturday, May 16th, 2026. Peacefully, in the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents; Mary and John; sister, Mary; brothers; Noel and Paddy and nephew, Michael.
Sadly missed by his wife, Geraldine; his children; John, Ann, Kathleen, James and Christopher. Adored by his grandchildren;Cáitlín, Shauna, Ériu and Ruaidhrí. Remembered by his sister, Nora, brothers; Jackie, Jodie, Bernie, Tony and Brendan. Deeply regretted by his sister-in-law; brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, many good friends and neighbours.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at his home in Lismoy, Newtownforbes, Co. Longford (Eircode N39 Y096) on Tuesday, 19th May 2026, from 5.00pm, concluding with prayers at 8.00pm.
(The family will take a 15-minute break at 6.30pm.)
A one way system will be in place from the Cahanagh Cross side of the house and exiting through the back road to Newtownforbes. Please follow the directions of the stewards, Thank you.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 20th May, in St. Mary’s Church, Newtownforbes, Co. Longford, arriving for 12 noon, followed by a private cremation service at Lakelands Crematorium.
