Sr.Margaret Oates passed away on Sunday 5th April, peacefully, surrounded by her family and the Mercy Community, in the tender care of the doctors, nurses and care staff in Laurel Lodge Nursing Home.
Predeceased by her parents; Molly and Charlie, brother Sean, her nephew Rory and members of the Oates and Ellis families.
Sr. Margaret will be forever missed and always remembered by her loving family, sisters; Joan, Teasie, Frances and her brother Tom, brothers-in-law; Paddy and Tommy, sister-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, friends and the Sisters of Mercy, Western Branch.

Reposing in the Convent Chapel, Convent of Mercy, St. Joseph’s Road Longford (N39C4E4) on Tuesday 7th from 5.30pm concluding with prayers 7pm. Removal from the Convent Chapel on Wednesday 8th to arrive to St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery, Longford.
