Phillip McGarry passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, surrounded by his children and in the tender care of Roscommon Hospice after a full life lived with adventure, quiet dignity, deep wisdom, and a truly genuine heart.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Marie, his parents Maurice and Bella, and brothers Maurice and Samuel.
Loved by his devoted children; Darren and Tanya, adored grandchildren; Conor, Naoise, Sionna, and Fodhla, his daughter-in-law Edel and son-in-law Bill, aunts, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.
Reposing at Smyth's Funeral Home, Roscommon Town (F42 NH27) on Thursday, 7th of August from 6.30 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Service at St. John's Church, Lanesborough (N39 F984) on Friday, August 8th, at 11am, with burial to follow in Clonbonny Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Roscommon Hospice.
