Philip Fitzpatrick
Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England and formerly of Aughnaglace, Aughavas, Co. Leitirim,
Philip Fitzpatrick passed peacefully at home in Boythorpe, surrounded by his family, on 15th April, aged 86.
Remembered by his wife Pamela, son Michael, daughters Cheryl, Lorraine and Collette, sons‑in‑laws Ian, Phil and Chris, grandchildren Lauren, Rebekah, Eleanor, Mitchell and Olivia, and his great‑grandson Theo.
Born in County Leitrim, Ireland, in 1939, Philip came to England in 1958, making his home in Chesterfield for 62 years. A civil engineer contractor, he worked until the age of 79, then remained active as Groundsman at Underhall Respite and Residential Home, and tending to his allotment.
Enjoying football, racing and Bingo, Phil was a warm‑hearted, comical, sociable family man, well-known and deeply respected, a loyal friend to many, he will be greatly missed.
Philip will be received into CHURCH OF THE ANNUNCIATION OUR LADY, QUEEN OF PEACE CHESTERFIELD
at 5.00pm on Tuesday 12th May.
Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday 13th May at 12.00 HRS followed by burial in Boythorpe Cemetery.
