Padraig Conlon

Aughaguinea, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.

Padraig Conlon passed away on Wednesday, 25th February, 2026. Peacefully in the exceptional care of all the staff of Surgical North Ward, Sligo University Hospital and the North West Hospice.

Predeceased by his brother Michael John.

Beloved husband of Mary, (Née Grogan), father to Gerard, Martin and Paul, father-in-law to Nuala, Deirdre and Eilish, adored grandfather of Aaron and Killian. Ssadly missed by his sister Maura, sister-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his son, Martin's house, Aughaguinea (N41 EH00) on Friday, 27th February from 4pm to 8pm and on Saturday, 28th February from 4pm to 8pm. House private at other times. (A one way system will be in operation, please obey the direction of the stewards).

Removal on Sunday, 1st March for Requiem Mass at 2pm in St. Brigid's Church, Drumcong with burial afterwards in the new cemetery, Drumcong.
Family flowers only, donations if desired to North West Hospice.

Sincere sympathies to Mary,Gérard,Martin, Paul & extended Conlon families on the death of Padraig.He was a real gentleman & am sure he will be sorely missed. Sorry I am unable to attend the funeral. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
