P J Ownes passed away on Friday, April 17th, 2026. Surrounded by his loving family at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe.
Predeceased by his beloved daughter Sharon and her mother Winnie, his brother Gerry, and by his parents Patrick and Elizabeth.
Sadly missed by his son Gavin, daughters Gillian, Ashling Carr and Gemma McHugh, his sons-in-law Anthony, David and William. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Dean, Shannon. Megan, Alanna, Thomas, Jamie, Leah and Jake and great-grandson Michael. Deeply regretted by his brother Frank, sisters Trudy, Kay, Jacinta and Pauline, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Sunday evening from 6 pm until 7.30 pm. Mass of the Resurrection in the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon on Monday afternoon 1 pm. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.
The Owens family would like to thank their relatives, neighbours and friends for their kindness at this time.
