Michael Anthony (Tony) Dowling passed away on Monday, March 30th, 2026. Peacefully, at Portiuncula University Hospital, in his 94th year.
Beloved son of the late Michael John and Helena, brother of the late Bridie, Simon, John, Gertrude and Patrick and uncle of the late John.
Sadly missed by his brother William and sister-in-law Mary. Remembered by his nephews Willie and Conor, nieces Clare, Kate and Emer. Deeply regretted by his grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon F42 NH27 on Tuesday evening from 5.30 pm until 7 pm. Removal at 10.30 am on Wednesday morning from Conor and Helen’s home arriving at St John’s Church, Lecarrow, for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Retreat nursing home and particularly all those who provided care to Tony when he was at home.
