Mena Guckian (née Geheran) died on Wednesday, 4th February 2026. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. In the tender care of the nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital.
Pre-deceased by her parents Ellie Jane and Francie, her brothers; Joe and Seamus and her beloved grandson Oran.
Mena will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her devoted family. Husband Mally, son Mal (Leitrim Village) daughters; Sinéad (Dublin), Bernie (Kilnagross), Emer (Dromod), Sharon (Keshcarrigan), sons-in-law; Vinny, Cian, Brendan and John, daughter-in-law Paula, adored grandchildren; Robyn, Anna, Lottie, Claire, Senan, Abban, Connall, Fiadh, Ellie Jane, Coan, Art, Faolán, and Íde, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Mena will repose at St. Patrick’s Church Gowel (N41 HX83) on Friday 6th February from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.
Mass of Christian burial on Saturday 7th in St. Patrick’s Church Gowel at 12 o’clock, followed by burial in Kiltoghert Cemetery.
