Mel McManus passed away on Monday, 9th February 2026. Peacefully, at home.
Pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Minnie, brothers Josie, Sean, Val and sister Patricia.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family.
Remembered with love by his wife Mary, son Stephen, daughter Karina Phelan, son-in-law Hilary and Stephen’s partner Mairead. Sadly missed by his adored grandchildren Liam, Amy, Leigh and Conor. Deeply regretted by his sisters Kitty and Ann, mother-in-law Kathleen Jones, sisters-in-law Eileen and Phyllis, brother-in-law Gerry, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

Mel will repose at St. Patrick’s Hospital Chapel, Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday 11th February from 4 o’ clock until 6 o’ clock, followed by removal to St. Mary’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon arriving at 7 o’clock. Mass of Christian burial on Thursday 12th at 12 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Carrick-on-Shannon.
